Does not copy from HTML files on the local computer

It cant copy from an html page that is on the local computer with Chrome. Below is an example of my browser paths. It works fine with https:// sites.

file:///C:/Users/BoyWonder/Downloads/DivMagic%20_%20AppSumo.mhtml

file:///C:/Users/patm1/Downloads/DivMagic%20_%20AppSumo.html

file:///C:/Users/patm1/Downloads/DivMagic%20_%20AppSumo.htm

Normally I would download a copy of the page. Then work off the html file.
